The launch date for applying for the second round of the Self Employed Income Support Scheme (SEISS) has been set at 17 August 2020 - The process will be online in the same way as the first round of grants.
You can make a claim for the second grant if you’re eligible, even if you did not make a claim for the first grant.
To claim for the second grant your business must have been adversely affected by the COVD 19 pandemic on or after 14th July 2020.
This grant will be another taxable grant worth 70% of your average monthly trading profits, paid out in a single instalment covering a further 3 months’ worth of profits, and capped at £6,570 in total. NOTE: The deadline for applying for the first round of Self Employment grants (designed to cover the first three months of the pandemic) if you have not done so already and are eligible, is 13th July, and is for self employed businesses (sole trader and partenrships) affected by the COVID 19 pandemic or or before 13 July 2020.
